"Pastel Merllama" is an illustration created with watercolor and gouache in 2026. It is one of three illustrations created for the 2026 Project for Awesome (P4A) fundraiser celebration! A mythical combination of a llama with a mermaid tail! My inspiration for the fin shape and tail patterning was actually an Iowa-native: the shortnose gar!
